Austin Castle

Austin Castle grew up in a deeply patriotic family in Columbus, Ohio, where the belief that veterans and first responders are true heroes was instilled from a young age. Inspired by family members who served in the military and supported them through multiple combat tours, Austin witnessed firsthand the challenges faced by our nation's heroes returning from the Iraq and Afghanistan wars.

 

Motivated by this, Austin joined the Army and served in Iraq with the 1194th Engineer Company, gaining personal insight into the mental health challenges that many veterans encounter after service. Upon returning home, Austin faced unexpected personal challenges, which fueled a passion to support fellow veterans and first responders.

 

Growing up surrounded by dogs, Austin is a huge dog lover and understands the profound relief and companionship they can bring to their owners. As a board member and the Veteran Ambassador at Heroes United, Austin works passionately to serve those who serve and sacrifice so much for our country and communities.
